How do I put this into words, a rip in the fabric of time has sent me to the past, surprisingly enough that is not the amazing part. I say amazing because I find myself in the position to right one of the biggest wrongs in US history. Here is what happened.
I was all set to go Wed. evening after work. I brought camping gear (just in case), money, and my camera. I rode my motorcycle on up to the spot in the Ocala National Park and hid it in some bushes nearby, if I am going to hoof it on the other side I don't know how long it will be just sitting there. Armed with my compass and an aerial map of the woods I stepped through once again. After walking ahead about 10 feet through the slip my compass started working, have to figure that one out sometime.
On the way in I pass the Juniper Springs Rec center, hope it is still there, it might give me a clue as to when I am.
After an hour of hiking I reached the rec center. When I passed it on the way in I stopped and got a soda and some chips, pulled some cash from the atm and talked to some people using one of the bbq grills. This is not at all the same site. The pavilion was made up different; I mean it looked the same but without that modern factory made feel. It looked more like something I made with Lincoln Logs as a child. There was a water fountain, ok that is a clue that I am not in the 1800's, and bathrooms... not outhouses. Inside I found flyers for a newly opened Florida Technological University... Never heard of it... I saw a Gatorland flyer, but was surprised to see nothing from Disney, Sea World, WAIT!
Disney opened in 71 if there are no Disney flyers then it must be before...
I went back to the Florida Tech University pamphlet, looked at the address, Central Fl Blvd. The only campus I know of on that road is UCF. Even more revealing was the opening statement on the flyer.
it reads...
“Enroll now for the first Semester at The New Florida Technological University Classes begins Aug '63."
63... As in 1963, first thought to pop into my head was that I wasted my time watching Back to the Future 1 and Grease the night before.
The date Nov. 11 1963. That was the information that I wanted. I headed back to the slip as quick as possible. I couldn't shake the feeling that something important happened in1963. Two hours later I was back in my apartment and on the net searching the year. One MAJOR event came up.
"President Kennedy shot and killed in Dallas, Tex. Lyndon B. Johnson becomes President same day (Nov. 22).”
(To be continued)

I think I have just about everything I need. I am taking along a camera to document whatever it is I find. I am also going to take a radio and a compass. I mean lets face the GPS isn't going to do shit for me and The Ocala National Forest is a big forest. I don't need to take a chance at getting lost..whenever... in time I will be. On that..whenever.. I think it is in the past, that would explain the fact that I had no sattelite signal for my phone or for the Garmin. I am going to go in for three hours, I am blogging this because IF I don't come back I need someone to know what happened to me, if anyone would even believe a wild story like this. That's where the camera comes in. I am heading in tommorow at 5pm, I have to get off work first. It should dtill be light out and if I still remember how to read a compass I should reach one of the outposts in about an hour. If not, I got the radio. Went to the pawn shop and found an old antenna tuner radio, if it's too far in the past will they still take Visa? Hmmm seriously. Didn't we change the way our money looks. What if I go back to like 1955 like in Back to The Future and my money is no good because it has been created yet. I know they still had credit cards but not ones with the experation date being 2012..Damn this could be a problem. It's only three hours, sort of an intel op...LOL. I didn't spend any time in the military but i've seen enough Chuck Norris and James Bond films to know the lingo. OK...This is it. See you in a 24hrs.
Later...

This is Tom Mack, my first video blog. I made this blog because I have something I want to share...with the world. I have found a ... slip ... in time. In the woods, the Ocala National Forest to be exact. I took my GPS out there camping with some friends and that is when I found it. There is an area located at 29d 10'51.47"N and 81d 49'54.51"W at least that is the last reading I could get from the Garmin before it went all screwy.
It looks like a distortion in the forest, I couldn't see it right away, the sun hit this one tree just right and I noticed that there was no shadow ahead like there should have been. As I walked closer my shadow seemed to be, I don't know sucked in...I guess. Anyway I stepped through, barely it was a pretty tight squeeze. Instantly I was through the otherside. I don't know when I was, I say when cause I was obviously still in the forest. I marked the area where I had gone through and walked a bit enough so I could not get lost. The Garmin kept reading " No satelight signal " It's getting dark so I headed back to the slip. The same tight fit put me back through and the GPS went back to showing a satelight signal but not giving me a location. As I walked about 10 ft back, away fromthe slip it gave me the same coordinates I had in the beginnig. I need to go back. I am planning a trip after I get off of work tommorow. I am going to tell Sheila, my girlfriend, she'll think i'm nuts but not try to talk me out of it. I'm not telling her that I am going to spend about 200 on tracking equipment, I am also taking the laptop, camping equipment and my video camera. I will post another blog when I find out more. I need to get this information out there, just in case the slip closes and there is no way back.
I know what this is, it's a slip in time. But to when?

( This is a blog-play I am writing that I will later use to turn into a short or feature film, it is an idea I have been sitting on for awhile and I would love to have your input as I update each blog hopefully daily. Thanks )
The Futures So Bright....
Nov 3, 2009Hi...so this being my first "blog" and all I thought I would start with a brief introduction.
My name is Thomas M Friesner, born 7/7/1971 in Orangle Park FL, then moved around most of my life. Indiana, Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Florida, you get the picture. I always loved acting and loved movies, so I auditioned for everything I could. Small time stuff community theater, school plays, The Superboy TV show, things like that. Didn't get the Superboy gig, ( I was thinking more like the George Reeves Superman )but I did get a lot of theater. It grew into a passion for storytelling and directing. At 30 I finaly went to college and began learning all I could about directing, editing, and writing. My biggest influence was a Prof, named Kieth Alan Morris. He pushed me and had me looking outside the box for ideas and ways of telling a story. Fast forward 8 years later to now and I have still only made 1 short film. BUT I have directed, wrote, and everything else, 15 commercials up in Indiana.

Well that's enough for now. That's the nutshell if anyone cared to read. More to come soon.
