Holy Date! (I'm a believer)
Feb 29, 2008Jeeez, I just realized!! Today (well, yesterday here, today for the ones in the States) is February 28th... It's been exactly two years since I moved to the UK. 2 years!! That makes me feel much more of a Londoner.
So, Happy Anniversary to me!
That's a picture of me today, after a Jason Mraz gig, with a cold and a bad headache- 2 years after the storm...
Lately I've been trying to see my life from the outside, like a movie, just to check how boring it would be. It makes me want to do bigger things (like the mini production company I'm trying to start with my friends), like writing beautiful screenplays, like just go crazy and go somewhere, do something I've never done before. I see people, not just as observers of other's lives, but of their own. It kind of scares me, the idea of becoming like that, moving in a circle with closed eyes and learnt lines.
I need to believe that every dream is achievable, that we can be whoever we want to be and whatever we want to be. That we can create without limits and that our ideas will be heard. I need to believe we can touch human souls with our minds.
I'm sorry if to some people I seem strange or even impulsive, I'm just in search of my adventure.
HYPNOTIC
Feb 29, 2008I'm Sophia.
I'm into a screenplay.

The story's called Hypnotic. It's something about overcoming fear, seen from a dream-like state of mind, involving four characters and loads of money we're getting form who knows where and who knows when.
Nah, it doesn't require that much money, but the tentative cast- you should see the tentative cast... Mind blowing.
The story is good. It's the kind of thing you stare at for two hours, and somehow shakes you.It moves something inside and changes it to another place. By the end of the film, you don't really know what happened. You talk about it afterwards, you keep on thinking about it for days; weeks.
So, that's Hypnotic. Or so I want it to be. Like air, filling up your mind and dreams created with images and sound, for you, for all of you.
I'll do my best to transmit to you guys all this crazy things Hypnotic makes me feel.
And Hypnotic's second draft should be ready in the next couple of months.
As for the rest of my life, I've been working with polaroids lately, didn't remember how much fun it is. I've been snapping here and there, it's a bit like 'Hypnotic' really, like you have them in your hands and you really don't know if they're real or just a dreamy thing that will dissapear the moment you turn your sight away. It reminds me of my first jobs in theatre, I used a Polaroid back then. It was fun, fun and easy.

Sophia is at the beginning of a journey.
Sophia is afraid of spiders (although she writes a lot about them).
Sophia is turning 23 on february 19th, 2008.
Sophia likes dogs, long showers, black and white photos, dancing in the middle of the street, music, and white chocolate.
She grew up in a colorful and warm place called Guatemala (yep, Central America).
She loves Japan, her friends and the stars. She lives in London, she likes the rainy city and likes to think of herself as a character from a Tim Burton's story.
Sophia likes two o'clock; two o'clock and midnight.
